2014 is the first year Pagani comes to the U.S, and the Huayra is about USD
$1.7m loaded with options. But to me it's the ONLY hypercar out there whose
million dollar price tag is justified. If I am putting down a million
dollars on a car, I would want it to look like a Faberge egg on wheels,
which is exactly what the Huayra is.

i have no taste but if i had billion i would buy this car as well, just like
Z and many Saudi Tubies. On the other side, it is probably a good
investment, the value of this thing could be invariable and it is showing
the owner must be a super rich asshole, uniquely.
btw why it comes to USA so lately, i remember there are even several Huayra
in Taiwan already.

sensing air bags back in 2011, then Pagani began work on the advanced air
bags for U.S market as required in 2012, and finally NHTSA gave them the
green light in 2013.
You are so right on the investment part. Pagani only makes 50 cars a year as
of 2014(prior to 2014 they only make 10-40/yr), and their value never
went down. Just look at the Zonda, every single one since 1999 has gone up
on the price(those been well maintained).
This small boutique automaker builds one of most desirable and unattainable
cars on the planet. Like I said if I am putting down nearly $2m on a car,
horsepower/speed/acceleration are no longer the 1st priority, I would want
it to look like a fine pc of art on wheels, which is exactly what the Huayra
is.

NHTSA is a joke, how many owners of this car could be there in US each year,
bureaucratism.
of course i watched that video long time ago, should be also recommended by
you.
that is why rich guys are getting richer ever, they spend a lot on sth good,
good things price stay or even raise.
i am very curious how much profit for each of this car, it could be called
art piece, but business is still business.
anyway actually $1m or $2m is nothing for those rich assholes, Pagani should
sell this for $5m.

five years, however NHTSA even gave Lamborghini and Tesla the waiver, not
Pagani(which only ship ~20 cars to the U.S per year)!
