这车我就是每天开10分钟去上班和下班。

would like to add
1. whenever you change the engine oil, you should also replace the oil
filter
2. replacing the engine air and cabin filter is an easy job, no need to pay
the dealer or the auto shop to do it for you. the dealer or the shop won't
use high quality filter, but they will charge you a premium for its filter,
so they can make a profit.
to change it yourself, simply go to autozone or online, buy the right filter
for your car and install it yourself. when you open the front hood of your
car, the engine air filter should be inside a black box held by clips on
each side, the cabin air filter is typically located behind the glove box
3. brake fluid and antifreeze are sealed system. don't simply replace them
just b/c fginao said so, :-). check the user manual in your car and find
out if they really need to be replaced. i know people that have put well
over 100k mi on their vehicles, never replaced the brake and the antifreeze,
and they never experienced engine overheating or brake problem.
4. people may have different opinion on this. personally, when you get the
brake pads replaced, you should also replace the rotors. it makes absolutely
0 sense financially to pay some mechanics $75/hr in labor and let them turn
it for you and in a couple yrs, pay them another $75/hr in labor and
replace it.
5. as for the atf, typically, it should last for 50k mi. whether it needs to
be replaced or not is based on the color of the fluid. brand new atf
should have a pinkish color, over time, the atf will turn into a dark/black
color. once it gets to black, it is time to replace it. if your car has a
transmission fluid dipstick, definitely check the color before pay some auto
mechanics $100 to replace it for you.

filter can be a dirty job. when you start loosen the drain plug and the oil
filter, dirty engine oil starts to drip into your arms.
just b/c you feel like doing the work yourself is 便宜又放心, doesn't mean
everyone else feels the same way.
i know some people always prefer to go to the dealership, b/c they don't
have the time to do it themselves. to me, that simply sounds absurd, you
have the time to drive your car to the dealership, wait for them to do the
work on your car and drive your car back home, but you don't have time to
spend 30 minutes changing the oil and oil filter on your car.

use the scissor jack to hold the entire weight of the car. if somehow the
scissor jack becomes flimsy and fails, while you are underneath the car, you
can easily get injured if not killed. jack stands is the way to go.
