"I'd trade 10 hp for 5 lb-ft of torque any time of the
day.". I know what they are trying to say, but in my
opinion such lines are misleading to say the least.
As I understand it (and it makes sense dimension
wise), power = torque * rpm * C, so these two are closely
correlated mathematically, a perfect flat(constant)
torque curve gives a perfect linear power curve.
Phrases such as "low end torque" and "high end horsepower"
seem to sugges |
