since they just match on bolt.
first, the thread pitch. metric uses milimeters, such as 1.0mm, 1.25mm.
fundamental property of thread. SAE uses fractional inch, such as 1/8,
5/16, etc.
second, the same pitch could have different diameter. the common sizes are
6x1.0mm, 8x1.25mm, 10x1.25mm, 12x1.5mm. the diameter refer to internal
size. add 4-6 for the size in socket. eg...6x1.0mm in most cases,
corresponds to 10mm small bolt |
