发帖数: 3835 | 1 My Client has an immediate need for an aerospace stress engineer with
experience in composite vehicle design, stress analysis, composite repairs,
and production manufacturing. The first task of this role will be to review
stress reports and finite element models developed by partner organization
to determine revised margins based on updated vehicle weights and design
modifications. The stress engineer will also compile analysis, reports,
models, and margins into standardized formats for upload into company’s
product data manager. The second task will be to support the design
engineering staff with stress analysis as weight reduction opportunities are
identified or as design reinforcements are identified to handle increased
vehicle weights. The stress engineer is ultimately responsible for ensuring
the vehicle structural design meets the customer mission requirements with
positive margins of safety.
Key Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a
concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline.
•Experience in aircraft or spacecraft composite fabrication, design,
and analysis processes
•Minimum 10 years of applicable experience in the analysis of
structural systems using strength of materials and finite element based
methods
•Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis
techniques
•Familiarity with space flight vehicles, rocket propulsion systems,
and components
•Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools (PLM software) and
configuration management
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent Organizational Skills and problem-solving skills
•Strong team player
•Excellent computer skills, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Knowledge and experience with AS9100 a plus
•Knowledge of FAA part 25 FARs a plus
•Experience with manufacturing based ERP systems a plus
•Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR, due to nature
of work
•You will communicate clearly and be confident and persuasive.
•You will have a high level of integrity and understand the need of
complete confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
•Reviews, updates, and compiles engineering analytical definition of
structural components and assemblies based on records from the prototype
build project
•Develops standardized analysis criteria and templates
•Plays an integral role in the work flow release process for all
structural designs
•Supports review of manufacturing plans and procedures to ensure
compliance with design and loads requirements
•Supports the creation of structural test plans which will be used to
verify manufacturing processes meet design intent and requirements
