I am a long time NBA fan since Jordan era. But I will admit I will have
little interest watching NBA games if Father Lin is not playing.
Simply put, there are just not enough quality players to sustain a league
with 30 teams.
A guy like Goran Dragic is being chased like Mega star. Not only he will be
paid like 20 M per year for 4-5 years, several teams are competing to pay
him that kind of money.
This is a guy, at his best, give you 20 points 6 assists for a year, being
the unquestionably No.1 option, playing a run and gun system. And he's only
done it for ONE season. Before last season, he is basically a nobody (a
little bit extreme, he is a good player nonetheless). Never made ALL-star
before, couldn't even push his team to playoffs as the starter. Failed many
times, both in Rockets and Suns. Those two teams all had melt down at the
end of the season and he could do nothing about it.
And he is already 28 years old and turning 29 pretty soon. Basically he was
treated like Mega star just because that ONE year by playing at the right
system and good opportunity ( Eric Blesoe was injured in 2013-2014 so Dragic
was the only one dominating the ball)
However, he is lucky. Right timing, because there are so few talents in the
NBA these days, desperate teams like Lakers and Knicks have to overpay to
get players service, even for sub-stars.
Expect this trends to continue after the new TV deals kick in. Players are
making even more money but the quality of the game don't improve. (just look
at the regular season games this year, half of the games already become
garbage at this time of the year.) |

NBA - you have Bird vs Magic, Bulls vs Piston, AJ vs Wilkins, Ewing vs
Olajuwan and on and one. The game hasn't improved for years but NBA is still
the best we can get right now. I will of course keep watching it until it
really falls apart just like baseball. |

发帖数: 3360 | 4 确实现在NBA不像乔丹那样的个人英雄主义年代了。其实乔丹也是有了禅师，多打团队
篮球以后才争夺冠军的。虽然乔丹很难再有，但是年轻英雄辈出啊。科比、六步郎这种
十年一出的也不逊色。
我觉得给Dragic max合同并不过分。考虑到2016年夏天工资帽可能要暴涨30%，也就是
多付Dragic一年的顶薪，2016以后他的工资大概就是80％顶薪了。
只是Dragic这两天这么闹腾，给Suns造成损失很大，弄不好媒体要开始搞他。

不过现在nba是远不如以前好看了，不知道是现在媒体发达大家不稀罕了，还是联盟过
度造星了，还是金钱大网下面talent们从高中就开始习惯聚光灯下的生活导致了自己后
来各种各样的问题，反正就是没以前好看了 |

None of the "cancer" players you mentioned below is cancerous. They play
with ball in hand. Deal with it.
