transferred from F1 visa in US). Do I need to apply for H1b visa when I am
in Spain to re-enter US? Will it be a problem? Any info will be very
appreciated. Sorry can't type in Chinese now. | l*g

might want to contact US Embassy at Spain to figure it out.

发帖数: 46 | 4 that's why people pay big bucks to get a green card. The US makes it hard on
us to travel. You shouldn't worry about being rejected a visa. The only
real concern is whether they want to do a background check on you, which can
take longer than you want to stay in Spain...Good luck.

sometimes even let you go back to China to get the re-entry visa.
The background check is still an issue, particularly if you have not
returned to China for a while. However, I was told it doesn't last as long
as it was like before. Right now a routine background check only takes less
than a month (used to it takes as long as half a year)

me to go back to China for visa. The worst thing is it seems there is no
definite answer on whether or not I have to go back China for H1b visa. I
even don't know where to get the answer. US embassy in Spain? International
office in school? Immigration department in US?
Of course, background check is a possibility, which I have no choice, but
stay in Spain to wait. This is ridiculous.

visa, and come back. If get checked, just take a vacation in China. I know
somebody who did it this for a meeting in Europe. | s******y

有些upset。但是我真的没办法。回国换签证，真得太折腾了。不过还有一个问题，就
是加拿大和墨西哥可以第三国签证吗？甚至是我这样从学生签证进入美国，换成H1b的
？有这样的例子吗？非常感谢了。

Some people I knew (who enter USA with F-1 visa and then converted to H-1
visa) went to Canada to get a 2 entry visa before they go back to China.
Therefore, in principle, you can use this 2 entry visa to go to Spain and
come back.
The risk will be smaller because the Canada embassy rarely look for trouble
for people who are seeking 2 entry visa. However...sometimes if you are
unlucky enough, they may draft you to do the background check and you will
be stuck in Canada for a
