Duties:
The Technical Writing Specialist is responsible for writing, editing,
proofreading, and facilitating approvals of Standard Operating Procedures,
Training Documents and Reports for Manufacturing and Packaging Operations.
Preparation and administration of Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintenance of the Training Documentation for Production Operations
Track and trend KPI’s for all documents in circulation
Strong proofreading skill required.
Strong organizational skills required
Ability to manage end to end process for documentation life cycle
5-10 yrs experience writing technical documents in a production environment
Understand the mandates for documentation set forth by the regulators, such
as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the International Organization
for Standardization (ISO), and other governing bodies
Understand how to assess and write to the audience
Know how to organize and deliver information based on the message
Understand how to structure reports
Understand the innate structures of English grammar
Know how to create grammatically sound passages
Have a working knowledge of punctuation marks and their role in making
documents readable
Responsible to review and revise documents
Skills:
· Excellent organizational skills are required.
· Problem solving/innovative skills are required for detecting, analyzing,
and resolving critical technical, operational, and administrative production
training problems.
· Independent judgement is required for making timely decision/
recommendations for corrective actions.
· Proven background in continuous improvement skills.
Computer literacy.
Education:
Bachelors Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Prior technical writing experience in the regulated environment required,
pharmaceutical GMP experience preferred.
Requires strong technical knowledge, as well as verbal and written
communication skills.
