Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and be responsible for
analyzing a variety of enzyme containing complex mixtures and characterizing
the enzyme and certain non-enzymatic components.
• Conduct enzymatic screening assays, and reliable determinations
of enzymatic activities in a variety of samples to support new enzyme
discovery;
• Develop and optimize various biochemical assays;
• Demonstrate the ability to correctly analyze and interpret
outcome of experiments in the form of scientific reports and presentations;
• Quantitative analysis of non-enzymatic components
• Perform methods of protein analysis
The successful candidate must work well within a team and have a track
record of working in collaborative environments.
Requirements:
• Have a strong background in protein biochemistry and a working
knowledge of enzyme kinetics;
• Requires a minimum of a BS/MS in biochemistry, chemistry or a
related field with at least 2 years of practical lab experience in an
academic, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology setting. MS preferred;
• The candidate must have good record keeping skills, excellent
attention to detail, a good working understanding of laboratory reagent
preparation, and experience with protein chemistry, and biochemical assays
for enzyme activity;
• Be able to work independently and be able to prioritize
activities;
• Fluent spoken and written English as well as Chinese is mandatory. | v*l
