Funny thing is that I'm working with the associated editor who rejected the
paper now, and I think he just recently realize that he rejected my paper.

他早就在北大带学生好多年了，只是一直没有全职回来．
如果说他做的方向得重要性的和他的成就，应该高于饶毅和程和平，跟谢晓亮比不好说
，但是谢又没有全职回来，所以他做这个主任是合理的．
而且他这一回来，估计国内可以跟Wendell Lim合作了，可喜可贺，中国总算摸到世界
最前沿的边了

Where does this notion that "the work of Einstein may at one time have been
dismissed"? Please check your facts. It was 1905 when Einstein made his
groundbreaking discoveries. Two of the subjects, Brownian motion and
photoelectric effect, were clean non-controversial breakthroughs and were
accepted immediately (the second one won him his Nobel prize eventually).
The other two papers established special relativity. So for how long had
they been ignored? Not at all! First of all, works of Lorentz and Poincare

Lorentz transformations) so Einstein's work was not performed in a vacuum.
Within two years other famous scientists (Nobel prize winner Planck,

. Note that the number of scientists a century ago was a tiny fraction of
today's crowd and by all standards the influence of Einstein's ideas was
broad and quick.

Good points from #59 - but the amount of "low-hanging fruit" has diminished
- it is asymptotically harder to advance the field to the same degree as
researchers 100 years ago.
Accelerating a particle to 90% of the speed of light? Piece of cake. Going
the extra few percent higher gets progressively harder - that's why we need
CERN. Maybe research in general is not as dissimilar - when you start a new
field (relativity theory) you are bound to have a larger contribution than
when you enter it 100 years later. What about cancer research? HIV research?
Progres is bound to be incremental - until (maybe) a BIG IDEA comes along.
But since research doesn't happen in a vacuum, it is hard to predict which
ones of the little "insignificant" steps along the way helped out...

try to figure out that reviewer 1 whom is a big bull/cow and also your lab
boss
cademic career's natural enemy, from historic reason or your lad found is
opponent to her/his paper/s result,
then if without exculded her/him on your next submission cover
leter, MS willl be rejected again with high possibility.
