candidate in the field of bioinformatics, computational biology and/or
genomics. The position is open immediately. The position requires a diverse
range of expertise in data mining, machine learning, statistics, biological
database manipulation and biology. The successful candidates must have a MS
or a PhD degree or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, computational
biology, biostatistics and genomics and will have opportunity to work on a
few high profile projects in a Genomics Center. The candidates must have
demonstrated experience with data analyses on next-gen sequencing (NGS) data
such as RNA-seq, DNA-seq, genome-seq, ChIP-seq, DNA methylation or
bisulfite sequencing and microarray data using both supervised and
unsupervised learning techniques. Hands-on experience on various NGS
pipelines, algorithms involving R package/language, Bioconductor and Python
with excellent coding ability are required. Knowledge in human biology and
molecular biology will be great plus. The applicants with a MS in
computational biology, bioinformatics, Optional Practical Training (OPT) are

Qualifications:
This position requires a 4-year degree in computer science, management
information system, computer information systems, bioinformatics, or a
related discipline.
Preferred skills include knowledge of the Unix operating system,
demonstrated ability to program in scripting languages including php, bash,
awk, and perl; ability to understand and write SQL queries, knowledge of
computational tools for making biological sequence comparisons, and
knowledge of statistical methods.
Additional Information:
The appointment is full-time for one year and may be renewed upon
recommendation of the ARS and availability of funding. The annual stipend
rate for this position is $27,267. A travel allowance in the amount of $1,
600 is available to reimburse travel related expenses to scientific and
professional development activities. The participant does not become an
employee of the ARS or ORISE.

的这个公立大学是这个范围，不管老中还是老美。当然学校的福利非常不错。
