2. 福利：主要是保险和退休计划是老板决定还是学校规定呢？ 博士后还有其他什么福

follow this guideline.

2, Benefits will depend on your title (research scientist v.s. research
fellow). I believe you will have health insurance coverage. Fresh postdocs
typically don't get retirement benefits from Columbia. I think you can call
directly HR at Columbia to find out your benefits once you get the offer
letter.

Thanks so much for your reply. I am waiting for the offer letter now. So I
don't need to talk over the insurance coverage with the PI, since it seems
to be mainly decided by the university.

Don't come to Manhattan for a postdoc if you have little kids (<3 years) or
are planning to have one soon. However, I think if your little ones are like
3-4 years or older, Manhattan might not be too bad. There are lots of
activity preschoolers can enjoy.

城市好的实验室，就不去挤那些大名校了... |
