【在 A*******m 的大作中提到】 : Which one is cheaper, or with better service? : Thanks!
| A*******m 发帖数: 64 | 7 对呀,你去nstar网站可以选电,气,或者both

| m****e 发帖数: 235 | 8 They are both pretty expensive since they are both serve full-requirement
service. (Meaning they buy their power from suppliers for all products:
energy, capacity, renewable energy requirement, egress risk...etc)
And more importantly, NGrid recently signed a contract with an off-shore
wind project. If you read the news, they bought the power at ~21.5 cents at
a 3% escalation. (In short - price will go up)
If you want cheaper electric bill, I suggest you look for a 3rd party
supplier, like Dominion. All you need to do is call up a 3rd party supplier
, tell them you want to switch your energy supplier and then they will do
everything for you.
After you switched, you will STILL get your bill from NGrid (or whoever
service territory you are in) but your power will be serve by your new
supplier and not NGrid.
FYI - your electric bill includes many components: energy, capacity,
transmission...etc. But energy is the most expensive products, usually the
switch will save you about 2cents/kwh. (Assuming you use the average
household usage of 800/kwh per month --- Do the math)
Lastly - No, I don't work for Dominion. But I do work for a utility company
. I'm only using Dominion as an example. There are a lot of 3rd suppliers
out there.
Good Luck

It seems that Nstar still handles the delivery and the service calls
so I might just use it for a couple of months then look into
switching to one of the competitive suppliers that they list on the
website.
