young professionals. There are a few sub-divisions close to Rt 9, I-90, and
commuter rail, also not far from I-495.

I knew Ashland like 8 -9 years ago, yes, it was one of the suspected area
and of course, a place that you rarely can find with reasonable housing
price.
Town is beautiful though!

a public hazard, see the latest EPA report:

The chemials were dumped to the Sudbury river until 1978, which flows
through many towns, including Sudbury, Wayland, Lincoln, and Concord. The
EPA report shows that many areas in these towns along the Sudbury river have
been affected. The worst remaining contamination today is actually in
Framingham, see EPA report pages 12 and 14.
As EPA reports pointed out, the situation has improved a lot after past 25+
yrs of clean up. No new chemical has been generated there for the past 32
yrs, and Ashland is in a pretty good shape now.

这个Superfund Cleanup list应该指的是大Sudbury river流域，因为当年的化学品都
倒到河里，Sudbury river下游几十里好几个town都受到了污染，Ashland只是源头而已
，见上面EPA report page 12.
由于重金属比如水银会沉积在淤泥里，聚集在水生物中，这种完全治理好像分好几个阶
段，据EPA说现在是第四阶段，也是最后的阶段了。
