I have got this question from many of my customers:
Do I have to have an escrow account? Can I pay the tax and/or insurance
myself?
The answer is no, you don't have to have escrow account and you can pay the
tax and/or insurance by yourself.
The fact is that if you choose to pay tax and/or insurance yourself, then
you would need to pay a one time fee at close. The amount is 0.25% of your
loan amount. If you are willing to pay this one time charge, then you don't
have to have escrow account. |
