What is difference between Functional side and technical side in term of
learning? Technical side needs any programming skill? For both SAP FI and
SAP BI, do they need any prerequisite? I do not do much pure accounting work
but run a lot of financial reports. Which module should I learn?
I do not have any programming skills.

process- and configuration-oriented; technical side involves programming in
proprietary ABAP language. For FI, you should have some accounting
background. For BI, you should know basic relational database. Which
module you learn depends on your interest -- while FI is finance only, BI
reports data from all modules such as sales, purchasing and inventory.
Stick with functional since technical is often outsourced to India. | S*******s
