发帖数: 5 | 3 I believe most West players expect this play by North, and they should if they
are reasonably good club players.
I also expect that after expecting this play by North, they will make the
right play to just make 3NT.
MmP games are different. One of the reason they do not make 3NT, is that they
found East-West are weak players.

发帖数: 623 | 4 This can't be true. North(Arrows) made a great play that most players will not
notice.
This is an event that there are very few "weak" players. In fact, really weak
players will cash out for 9 tricks. Only good players will try to count and
read the situation. In long IMP matches, this trick will less often pay off.
But this is swiss. An overtrick imp can easily convert to 1VP, which becomes
very significant. So I don't blame the west to try for this overtrick... he'll
succeed 95% of the time so
