other options in IB such as equity research, Sales & trading. S&T makes big
money too.
Also, there are opportunities at buy side such as
asset management, private equity, venture capital, hedge fund etc
Life at buyside maybe easier than IBD and also very good pay.
as to job security, it really depends on the company you work for and your c
apability.
Compared to sell side, buy side is even tougher to break into.

usually 50-80 hours and no overtime in weekends.
MBA and CFA are different things. There are CFAs without MBA degree and ther
e are also MBAs without CFA title.

As long as you are cool, easy to get along with, smart, team player, detail
oriented, you will be hired.
There is no strict requirement for MBA or CFA.
No one will hire you only because you have tons of certificates.
