talking about the "better" one, which requires US accounting undergrad courses
(or equivalent) as prerequisitions.
Indeed UIUC enjoys a great reputation in Accounting, it is said its accounting
M.S. program is quite theoretical oriented. And when you are looking for jobs,
you will face the competition from a large pool of undergrads (UIUC's
undergrad business program ranks top 10, much higher than that of its MBA

发帖数: 335 | 2 UIUC's b-school graduate career service sucks. Although they (or we) recently
hired Stern's former dean and director of career service as Dean of the school
and dean of the MBA program, it is yet too short to improve.
So the advantage of taking UIUC is that I believe there are more employment
opportunities in great Chciago area, given there are so many financial
institution and traditional industries out there.
Most of my classmates/friends in accounting major at the school found less

发帖数: 16 | 3 I don't think that matters much. Go to check if the faulty in both program are
the same. If so, why bother?
Actually I think they seperate the two programs is mainly because the
different accounting background the students have. I think it is really better
this way. Without B.S in accounting from U.S, it is hard to catch up with
Americans in class, unless you take a great number of undergraduate classes
there.
