build a system that can let user dynamically edit graphics and text in the pdf
file? the pdf is retrieved from database, and the user can move, rescale,
modify both graphics and text.

And why retrieved from database? You want to build a database with all users
documents？Nobody wants privacy and copyright?
For editing documents: any editor. Freedom. Easy. Ready. Latex can do enough.
There're ready online converting services, for converting doc to pdf.
For converting: free. Easy. Ready.
You need to understand: pdf is for finalization of a doc. Light editing on pdf
is allowed. Totally editing pdf is n

it small advertising business. our designer create some pdf template in our
database, the file contain some graphics and text. but our client who sit
across the country might want to change the design and outlook for the next
publishing. we used to communicate by sending overnight mail. but we want to
let the client simply change the image or text on the template,like get a
similar image from our database, change the c

As far as I know -- I'm not an expert on this issue -- there's no ready
software/tool for your demand. For rough purpose, your task is like an e-card
website. But if you want more professional accuracy, some
better way needs to be used.
The difficulty would be: interactive editing online. If you want clients do
the adjusting work without any requirements on their machine, you have to
provide online interactive editing service. Another easier suggestion would

如果用户设计是用来做出版的，可能精度要求很高，这时候Flash也许不能够胜任了。
但是换句话说，如果是要求很高的设计，那么online interactive editing来做这件事
总归是草率的。还是要用Indesign这样的出版软件来生成源文件。
如果精度要求不那么高，可以在online interactive editing之后马上生成一个可下载
的PDF做Feedback，就可以了。
所以取决于精度要求。

document, you may see some ad from famous store like bebe, Ikea, dell etc. any
industry which will send the ad to customer are our clients. they might want
to modify previous ad, or add some new product on the ad, if the client can
simply come to our site, and do a little modification like only change the
cloth image, or perfume image combined with a little text. this would
significantly improve the performance.

其次取决于“a little modification”的重要性。假如这个用户做一点modification
就必需完全按照修改，按照印刷的精度要求反应出来，这就不是online editing可以简单
做到的了。你们可以专门拿一台机器出来，装一个Indesign，让用户Remote Desktop
做修改吧。要想规范地、远程做这种事情，浏览器和网页是不能满足这种专业需求的。非
专业软件不可。
如果精度要求不高，或者想低端解决，可以用Flash尝试。如果精度有一个合理的最小
单位－－比如1mm，做一个很好的Flash的zoom设计，可以解决这个需要。这个1mm是指

For those works require high resolution and accuracy, I will try both way to
see which one can satisfied our requirement.By the way, for Indesign solution,
how is the performance when multiple clients are using the Indesign software
simualtaneously through remote desktop. of course, the number of client would
not as huge as the number of clients come to the webserver.

可以考虑微软的Word Processing ML，从Word2003开始支持的一种XML
数据库可以用BDB或者MySQL的
