then it can achieve a kind of fairness(many resource managementment schemes
attempt to achieve this kind of fairness). Then what is the differences
between this fairness and min-max fairness?

each flow that doesn't interfere others. Another method might be propotional
fairness. If there is no any drawbacks on min-max fairness, why do we need
propotional fairness?

fiarness only in multiple servers situations. But they are very involving,
so I can not get their implications through reading several papers.
I think that one paper introduces them with a pretty intuitive way. It
is "Congestion Control Mechanisms and the
Best Effort Service Mode"l by Panos Gevros etc. If you're in network field,
this is also a very good survey paper.
