Chicago is an alpha city, along with Madrid, Toronto, Moscow etc
Vancouver is a gamma+ city, along with Denver, Seattel, Minneaplis etc

Vancouver is a second grade city at best in North America. Yes it has great
views, however, there are pathetically few well paying jobs, no major
corporate headquarters, no decent shopping, no decent night life. Speaking
of city life, Toronto beats Vancouver by a mile.
By the way, I don't consider easy access to Chinese food such a big deal.
For someone who does, Vancouver may be a good fit.
If Chicago is Shanghai, Vancouver is more like Kunming. There is no
comparison.

比尔盖慈不会住在你所谓的downtown里，他住在海边山下的big house里。

另外，穷不穷就区别人的档次了？看来北大的教授档次都不如温州做假名牌包的老板。
我倒是建议你努力提高一下自己的文化水平和档次。
