If you are a Duke Energy customer you may qualify for up to 15 FREE CFL
lightbulbs and they will mail them to your home free of charge. You call 1
-800-943-7585 and press 1. You must enter your account number or social
security number and they let you know immediately how many you qualify for.
I qualified for 12 and they will be mailed to my house for free. This is
a computer so you don’t have to talk to anyone and takes less than two
minutes.
These CFL or compact fluorescent light bulbs use 75% less energy and last up
to 10X longer that standard incandescent bulbs (according to the dukeenergy
