I woke up this morning at 8:37AM and saw a Cricket Wireless system msg.
It said a change is made to my account.
And I found that I can only make phone call and use text but there is no
data connection.
I called 611 and a service rep told me that they were doing some system
update and something didn't go right.
As the result, every user on the Cricket Wireless network has no data
connection.
According to the Cricket Wireless guy, this expects to last another a few
hours.

I unlocked my Cricket Wireless Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime 3 two days ago and I
was able to do the whole process on Cricketwireless.com without calling 611.
I then moved the Cricket Wireless SIM card into an old, unlocked MetroPCS LG
Stylo 3 Plus phone, I found that I can enable Wifi hotspot without rooting
the phone or without installing any additional app.
I was going to switch to another company to get a new phone but now I really
want to stay with Cricket Wireless.
