转学过来，100开外的二流学校……
年底就要毕业了，继续读书是唯一能做的事情吧……
计划是，毕业之后攒些钱就回国的……
家人总是希望换专业的，至少不要学毒害大的方向，女生嘛
自己明确不想学生物相关的，不喜欢，也不容易回国找工作
其他的，听说石油方向很不错，不知道适合女生不？毕竟好多工作还是倾向男生的。
制药呢？好像很多化工专业的转行做制药。
方向划分太细了，多到从来都没听说过，更搞不清哪一个能比较有发展啦？
希望能听一听专业人士的建议。要是能有你觉得相配的学校就更好啦！

PE, on the contrary, is very female friendly. But you need to have solid
math/physics + good common sense.

就石油行业来讲upstream就是指开采,downstream指加工提纯，对吗？
是不是德州的石油专业最好啦？还是去chemical engineering专门找石油方向的老板？

广了，广到基本上所有都包括了~~

Next a few: Tulsa >> OU, CSM (colorado school of mines), LSU (LA state U),
PSU(Penn State),Wyoming, TT (texas tech), Montana Tech, UAF (U of Alaska-
Fairbanks. UMST (Missouri-Rolla).
All have petroleum engineering Ph.D degrees in PE department. UH in ChE department, USC in ChE and ME departments. Most jobs in PE are office work for post-graduate.
Everything before wellhead is upstream. Between wellhead to refinery is mid
-stream. Refinery is downstream and beyond

. I am not exactly know whether a degree alone would launch a job or not.
On the other hand, PSU should be not a bad choice in the east.
P.S. The first well drilled only for oil is located in PA, ironically. Rockefeller himself began in east, i.e., Ohio...

发帖数: 580 | 15 Hottest spot in natural gas drilling and production is marcellus. Even
though Pitts is not the center of Appalachian basin or the play, most
operations are archestared there.
The other two hot spot is Barnett beneath DFW and Haynsville in Tx-Ar-La.
However, marcellus are much superior, i.e., companies are paying 13-14k per
acre there vs. 6k-7k in Haynsville.

at it in a different way. Most of those degrees were obtained as continuing
education as ppl were taking advantage of corporate education benefit, and
not the other way around. If you take a look at the demographics, many ppl
attending UH are actually professionals that are already in the industry.
They were geologists taking engineering classes or vise versa. Or they are
profressionals taking advanced degrees.
