Responsibilities: We are seeking technical assistance in the laboratory of
Institute Professor Robert S. Langer at MIT; the Langer Research Laboratory
focuses on the interface of materials science and biotechnology. We have an
opening for a highly motivated technical assistant (one year appointment
with possible extension based on excellent performance and continued funding
) to participate in the organic synthesis and characterization of material
libraries for drug delivery such as insulin and siRNA delivery and other
biomedical applications. Responsibilities will include organic synthesis,
purification, and analysis of materials. This position will be in the
laboratory of Professors Daniel Anderson and Robert S. Langer, Dept. of
Chemical Engineering, MIT, Cambridge, MA. Requirements: B.S. or M.S. degree
in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or related fields. Organic
chemistry lab experience is desirable. Experience with column chromatography
, NMR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry, will be a plus.
