I went to a relatively big Chinese supermarket (cannot remember the name of
it) and bought a bag of rice (Hong Guo Bao) without checking the expiration,
but later during the week I happened to find it had been expired for almost
1 year and smells weird...
I moved from NJ and that kind of stuff does not happen often in NJ Chinese
supermarket
Sigh...why is it so difficult to have a good Chinese supermarket in Chicago?

的中国超市。
H-Mart都已经开到波士顿了，希望大华，或者C-Mart也能早日进入芝加哥地区。

而棒子有自己的村(Niles满地都是韩文招牌)

发帖数: 685 | 9 也是我奇怪的。在休斯敦随便拉个超市，哪怕是口碑最差，去得最少的也比芝加哥的超
市强。别说刚开不久的休斯敦大华了，上周去了一趟，真是琳琅满目、物美价廉啊，没
去过的无法想象。

在suburbs的 他们需要的是大批开着车来买东西的顾客 而这些人通常有家有室住在郊
区的大房子里 大城市里的chinatown那点地方 没有那么大购买力
chicago的郊区需要一个像弯曲的cupertino或者LA的san gabriel那样的地方 有人家一
半规模就成了..

发帖数: 1828 | 12 还好了，亚洲人吃的还比较接近。至少比MEIJER种类多。
我一般2周去买那里一次菜（中间去MEIJER）。价格跟墨西哥店差不多，但比他们新鲜
。有些东西比中国城便宜，有些贵一些。MEIJER最新鲜，但亚洲菜品种太太少了。
综合起来，还是H-MART是最好的。
