国内的专业是结构工程，这里的公司的是做Highway bridge Structural Design。
刚买了本Civil Engineering Reference Manual for the PE Exam, 10th Edition by
Michael R. Lindeburg 不知道这本书好不好，
1. 一本书是不是太少了，大家有什么觉得有用的书好推荐的？
2. 另外哪里还可以搞到参考复习材料？
3. 国内的教育和工作经验能算Engineering Experience吗？
4. 看了看NCEES的分类，好像有
Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) - Civil
Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) - Structural I
Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) - Structural II
还有其他的化学，机械好像和我就没关系了。

enough for structural discipline. there is another book for it by the same
author(maybe only an olde version is available).
additionally, you need to have a lot of codes(steel, concrete, wood,AASHTO
bridge design LRFD,IBC, UBC etc.) so, I would suggest you take other
discipline for your afternoon exam. |

我只有一年半的工作经验，是不是需要多买点书？
CERM是不是对付上午考试足够了？ 那下午考试具体还需要什么复习书？

unavailable in the market.I remember I scanned this book but couldn't find
it now. not thick(200 pages?)

for structural practice. Some states allow you take SE exam but no license(
not sure whether PE can be issued based SE exam) |

发帖数: 649 | 12 Happy new year everyone. I am also preparing the PE-civil exam on April 08.
I have some questions:
Where do you get those CODEs? Some of them are so rare such as NDS and most
of them are so expensive.
By the way, the April 08 exam will require many new specs & Codes, but I
only can find some old editions from my Shi Xiongs or Co-workers. Will the
old edition work or may I ask if the new editions change much from the old
ones?

..
send out the application ASAP so that you will have enough time for
preparation....

发帖数: 60 | 14 Washington州需要8年的经验，包括教育和工作。教育最多折算5年
我的本科和硕士在国内拿的，美国拿了个博士，他们说国内的学位要这里评估，但我想
评估没有问题，问题是能不能折算成5年。
我在美国从06年7月开始工作，如果到08年7月就有两年了，在加上国内的一些实习经验
，如果美国承认国内的工作经验的话，那加上5年的教育就刚好满8年。
考过PE的，你们国内工作经验美国承认吗？ 需要什么材料证明？ |
