Hmmm, up to you guys. I don't believe in a single message for all slogans.
A sea of "fire Kimmel" or a sea of "peace love forever".
I want a photograph that would tell a story. Some of us are Chinese
Americans, others are Chinese. These are just some of the more positive
slogans to choose from. The negative slogans are ok with me as long as
they are not too extreme.
Chinese owe the USA, it's a fact. Tsinghua came from US repatriation of
Chinese war debt, and USA was the first one to start doing it. It was a
generous gesture and as a Chinese, I am grateful to the US.
Then you need to remember many great hospitals in China, many universities,
many scholars were funded by the American people. Japan risked the Pearl
Harbor because the US was sanctioning and boycotting Japan during
the Sino-Japan war. And needless to mention that America practically
single-handedly defeated Japan and gave us a seat on the UN security council.
I might also remind you that the US opened up its market to China after
1970s, and helped us lift a billion people out of poverty. The US
practically invented concepts such as "equality", "racism", "women's rights"
, etc etc. I as Chinese, I feel I owe the American people a great debt.
Shall I go on? Our ancestor said once: the kindness of a drop of water, we
repay with a spring of gratitude. So I said: "We owe you, You owe us, we
are partners in peace". You are free to agree or disagree. | u***n
