Job Description Summary
The Senior ECG Algorithm Engineer of Sotera Wireless is responsible for
overseeing and managing all aspects of technical research and development of
ECG signal processing algorithms for the Sotera Wireless vital sign monitor
.
Job Requirements
The position of Senior ECG Algorithm Engineer of Sotera Wireless, Inc. is a
senior level position within the company and requires a full-time commitment
(40+ per week). The qualified person must have experience in a related
field and an educational background supportive of the job qualifications and
responsibilities outlined in this document.
Specific Job Qualifications
• Expertise in digital signal processing and physiologic data
analysis
• Experience implementing ECG signal processing algorithms in C/C++
and MATLAB
• Experience in software development in the medical device industry
• Knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular and
respiratory physiology
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Specific Job Responsibilities
• Develop and implement signal processing algorithms for ECG and
other physiologic signals
• Develop software in C/C++ and MATLAB
• Develop software tools to assess and annotate physiologic signals
• Analyze physiologic data and evaluate algorithm performance
• Develop and implement signal processing algorithms for sensor
fusion that improve the positive predictive values of ECG related alarms
• Implement, document, and trouble-shoot algorithm software
• Assist in clinical verification, onsite investigation, clinical
research, and sales support efforts
• Provide algorithm related customer support
Quality System Job Responsibilities
• This position must be aware of the relevance and importance of
his/her activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality
and required regulatory compliance.
Preferred educational background
• Masters Degree in the field of physics or engineering, PhD
