I would like to take my 5-year old son to try an easy 14er as well. I was
wondering how did you start early? It's very hard for young kids to get up
early. Did you camp near the trail head?
Maybe sometime we can go together.

Great!
My three year old will be 4 in weeks. They two can be our young 14er team.
We didn't camp last time. Just got up at 5:40am, woke her up around 7pm and
put her into the car and headed for the trailhead, :) She slept for another
1 hour on our car.
Our trick is simple. Bring as much snacks as we can, candies, cookies... |
