3 to 4 days I have to work late and can not pick up my 4-year old daughter
from day care. I wonder if any moms are in similar situation so that we can
form a group and help each other / exchange babysitting. I think it is also
great for Chinese kids to get together. Please let me know! I will be in
Norwalk this year and in New Haven the year after.

available after 4:45 (I am in vacation now, and free for about 20 days since
today). I might be available to help you sometimes.
Even though we usually do not have the umpredictable work hour, we sometimes
do need back up babysitting, and hate to bring my son to a home which he is
not familar with.

this group live in new haven region. All are one hour away. I will be in new
haven, but not until next summer. Did you contact Chinese student or
scholar community at Yale? Good luck and I will be more helpful next year.

where exactly do you live in new haven? you'll find huge groups of children,
esp chinese children, on prospect street (around whitehall), livingstone
street and orange street, whose parents and grandparents should be able to
offer help. some grandparents get paid to take care of children from other
families, guess you know that already.
besides, you can also meet a lot of children and their caretakers at the new
haven library (they have playg

daughter who is 16 months now. I think it is a good idea to help each other
/ exchange babysitting. Also, we can share child development experience and
knowledge. I currently stay in the Stamford area and plan to move to Norwalk

你是否知道每周五晚上六点半到十点左右，中国教会在first baptist church (on
edwards street) 的聚会？有一顿免费晚餐，然后是学经时间。我知道很多不信教的父
母，不吃饭也不学经，带着小孩在玩具间（play room）里一起玩。不好意思这个宣传

另外，准备租房子，哪里的 apt 价廉物美？耶鲁的中国学生博士后一般都住哪里？有

我所知道的博士博士后的三大聚居区，就是上面说过的prospect street, livingstone
street and orange street：
prospect street上都是yale的房产，得向yale申请。其中whitehall和esplanade两个
居住区是博士生住的，prospect garden是博士后住的。那里人多，所以孩子多，老人
多，playground多，children's playgroups也多。附近science park里有个叫什么三
棵树的地方，每天早上大概九点到十一点，是老人带小孩聚会聊天玩耍的地方。
whitehall还有幼儿园（open to public, not residents alone），越早排队越好，常
要等两年才有名额。
livingstone street上有一个住宅楼（不知道具体哪号），我没去过，听说房子较老。
价格便宜。中国人多。附近有east rock playground，还有episcopal church每周三有
children's music playgroup
