butt behind the seat when people started going down, never lost control of
the bike when both wheels locked up, and managed to remain up through out
the pile up.
If I had only known that before...

i was pretty much in the same situation as him, except for that i slammed on
my front brake and flipped into the air upside-down.

to think about it, bike handling is something most road coaches don't even
bother to teach. makes me feel like a retard.

skills.

one of my weekend ride leaders (long time racer, in his 60s now?) told me
about this new girl joining our ride being a MTB racer. although not really
strong, her handling skills are immediately noticeable, steady riding, fast
but calm reaction to situations, and ability to predict and react ahead.
