A bus driver who used his bus like a 'weapon' to knock a cyclist to the
ground has been jailed for 17 months, a court official said. Gavin Hill was
shown on CCTV in an exchange with cyclist Phillip Mead before he lurched the

manslaughter you need justify the "action in the heat of passion": when you
are driving a big bus, whatever a cyclist has done around or ahead of you,
should not amount to killing in the heat of passion. The bus driver must
have acted with a long history of hatred toward cyclists in the past, and
that's murder, or killing with aforethought/meditation
