print DVDs are from $14.99 to $19.99 at most. So if you can wait, most of the
currect new DVDs will drop to that price range in one or two years. But if you
want to buy them now, columbiahouse's price is still way unbeatable.
This DVD is not even anamorphic. $8.89 is still too much IMO, hehe.

have choice of most popular mainstream DVDs. Nobody guaranteed you could find
each and every title in there. But if I want to buy a DVD, I'll first check if
CH has it.

"collection"(don't see a purpose at all). i see everything will come out in
HDDVD in less than 5 years. and i don't usually watch a movie more than once
a year so buying does make economic sense. evita maybe an exception, since
it's a music video.
i'm still debating where to get my next batch, columbia house, playcentric,
buy.com or deepdiscount.

I've never heard of "anamorphic TV"? How could a TV be anamorphic? When it's
16:9, it's 16:9. when it's 4:3, it's 4:3. However there're some 4:3 HD TVs
that have anamorphic mode, such as some high-end 36" Sony, it can squeeze the
vertical scan. It's like turning your 36" 4:3 TV to an about 33" (you can do
the math) 16:9 TV.
About the vertical resolution, anamorphic widescreen DVD vs. non-anamorphic
widescreen DVD should be (16/9)/(4/3) = 1.33.
