choreography as often as we think. I can understand that for competitions,
but for show dances in an annual dance festival as big as the one in Japan,
i don't expect to see the same dances from the same couple every year.
Slavik and Karina's 5 dances in 2003 are so similar to those in 2004. The
classical, graceful rumba we discussed the other day is almost the same - of
course they modified it slightly here and there; the music |

resources (in case of hired choreographer) to prepare show dances. i think
some have more passion for it than others. but even the most creative and
enthusiastic show dancers will have one or two favorite numbers that they re
-use throughout their career. it becomes what they're known for.
i do appreciate creativity and shwomanship, but on the other hand, what
dancesport is most about is perfection of execution. seeing ho |

But my observation is ballet dancers and standard dancers have a different
style; they may take bows in a fashion different from latin dancers. And i
guess when i wrote i was thinking in the narrow context of latin dancers,
esp. male latin dancers.
How's that book? Did you read it?

Does that mean dancesport is bigger in europe than here? just recall last
week a visting teacher (from the netherlands) to the studio said something
like that. I tried viennese waltz with the teacher and got too dizzy to
stand straight afterwards :D

i never feel dizzy dancing VW. i have nothing against Chinese social dancers,
but i feel dizzy every time i dance 快三 with them... it sucks, and i'm
amazed
by any girl who can dance 快三 and stand still afterwards.

or spin. yes, every figure is either natural turn of reverse turn. but
it's more about travel linearly. and every step has fixed alignment.
you know exactly where you go and where you should end up, very unlikely
to lost orientation.
i tried that test in high school too. of course i sucked.(:

and not everyone can dance natural steps, though most can do reverse.
