的，现有的数据库大约是5tb，每年增长大约3tb，三个不同的windows server 2008/
2003, back up至少两个备份，一份on site, 一份off site, 可以允许一周的数据丢
失。
我的问题是，请问现在有什么主要的备份设备,tape， 或者NAS？或者还有什么比较好
的新兴的设备和策略了。

发帖数: 18555 | 2 NAS太慢，多数用TAPE,我只管把BAK DUMP到BACKUP SERVER上，网管COPY到TAPE上，一
般都是这么分工的。你的DB需要ARCHIVE了，几个TB都是些什么东西，DATAWAREHOUSE也
没那么大吧。企业版可以COMPRESS BACKUP了，另外可以买THIRD PARTY BACKUP 压缩软

then you can get near to line speed when do backup:) after backup is done,
use the tape management software to do a tape dupe from Virtual tape to real
tape, ship to offsite.
Key points:
frequency of full backup.
Data retention of onsite tape (virtual) and offsite tape.
Restore plan? (my previous experience is hosting offsite instances which is
smaller by can hold mission critical tables/views so that offsite tape will
be restored on top of this machine once arrived, then the DNS entry can be
easily modified to pointing to it if there is any major going on)
