admin privillege on the pc.
I am wondering if there a way to install a VM on the notebook, and then
install sql server on the VM, so I can have full control over the sql server
for study and testing purpose. It is not a problem for Oracle but I am not
familiar with SQL server world.
If you know how to do it, let me know the detailed steps, thanks! | i****a

I use VirtualBox at home on my win7 PC, also installed win7 on the virtual
machine. I use that mainly to browse unsafe sites

I have VirtualBox on my notebook. but haven't been able to get step-by-step
guide on how to install guest Windows 2003 or XP. ( first of all any free
windows server obtainable legally?) If someone happen to know the detail
steps and any link, it will save me time to explore myself. thanks.

发帖数: 144 | 7 Most production sql servers are 2000/2005 in my working place. 2008r2 will
be enough for testing purpose.( if i am a sql server dba, i will probabley
install 2005 also) I don't think we will upgrade to the latest version in 2
years

发帖数: 144 | 9 My VirtualBox was installed some time ago for Oracle database when I attend
OTN developer day. The admin right was removed recently by my company
security team. So I sill have VirtualBox on my company PC. I am not sure
without admin right if it can work or not
For legitimate reason, we can apply for admin right for installing some
software and keep the admin right for several days.
