Is "the copy of your last EAD" the only thing in the RFE for your I-485,
please? Do you by any chance know what kind of RFEs does USCIS send out
for I-485?

发帖数: 84 | 17 It seems they don't have the info of my last EAD. so they stated in RFE that
I may have involved illegal employment since the date my previous EAD
expired. So I send them the copy of last EAD and employment letter provided
by my company.
From what I know, RFE for 485 usually are:
employment letter, finger print, physical exam, copy of passport or other
legal document.
RFE for 485 is a good sign. It is close to approval.

But just in case you have patience for my next question: were you using
your EAD for working during this time, and did they also request the
employment verification letter, please?
I'm asking only because I'm using my EAD now but thinking about switching
to a different area (like most psdcs, I guess). This is the "little" thing
that I just can't afford to ignore:(

发帖数: 84 | 19 I was a postdoc with H1,but I use EAD since I gotjob in industry until now.
I got 3 RFEs 2007-2010:
1. requested FP
2. Requested Employment letter
3. Last EAD
I was in NIW category and I can't switch job to different area. I don't know
your category but be careful about your job description. I don't know how
much difference your category can tolerate, you'd better consulte a
professional.
