Am I still legal here if my passport is expired?
My H4 was expired this august and the renewal stuff has been submitted prior
that. The uscis is very slow and no response so far. My passport will be
expired in 40 days. I think I cannot apply a new passport because I don't
have a valid H4 now ( although I have the receipt for h4 renewal). My
concern is if USCIS approves my case later than my passport experation day,
then, after I apply a new passport using the H4 visa, there will be a gap
between my old passport and new passport. Will that be a problem?
