working under H1b, but really want to get out of the crappy company. I am
not planning to get another job very quickly, so I might be end up with a
stay home mom for a while. Is it legal to stay without jobs after filling
485? Do I need to switch to H4? The problem about H4 is my husband's company
is not going to renew his H1b after he receives EAD.

you can stay as a status of AOS and work with EAD
company
