Consider this a public service announcement to all that have received a 2nd
biometrics appointment notice.
In January, my ASC appointment letter said CODE 2 - which means they only
took a single index finger print. Even though I begged them to take all 10
finger prints, they refused. Reading trackitt had informed me that all 10
were needed when filing 485, but I could not use this information to my
advantage. Which is highly unfortunately, because others had the opposite
experience where the officer made the decision to change it from Code 2 to
Code 3 after having noticed the error.
All first time 485 filers need to have all 10 finger prints taken. This is
indicated by Code 3 on the appointment letter. I got this new letter the day
before yesterday.
So in short, if you dont make it to this 2nd appointment, you will be
abandoning your application. Only after you give all 10 finger prints will
the true complete FBI background check be done.
Sigh. 3 months wasted, waiting in vain. But better late than never, I am
just glad that someone noticed and sent a new biometrics appointment letter.
If you find yourself in a position where your first ever biometrics
appointment notice says Code 2, please ask, beg, plead, do what you must to
have the officer change it to Code 3 and take all 10 finger prints. You will
save yourself time and energy.

有人说拿的2,去了说明白了打的3，后来还是要求重打了

发帖数: 760 | 3 应该不用重打吧？都是用bar code传送FP信息到USCIS的吧？要不至少向uscis提出更正？
