之前申请Perm的ETA 9089表格上prevailing wage的occupation title是：
ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING MANAGERS。自己的title是SENIOR ENGINEER, XXX。
公司说为了保险什么都不要变，只是安排一个人汇报给我，以及行使一些manager的职
能。等绿卡下来再变title。
1. 个人感觉升职后job descriptions肯定不一样了，perm得重办，请问是这样吗？
2. 之前看帖子有前辈说可以现在升职，等拿到绿卡时降级为原有申请的职位（Senior
Engineer）180天。这样是否可行？有人操作过吗？

小概率事件如果真的发生了，将来真的移民局有什么问题，再回应是来得及的。 |

可是之前跟律师沟通，是说要重办的。现在感觉公司不想折腾。自己是愿意重办的，甚
至自己出钱。
请问不办，最后会有什么问题呢？同时感觉不太可能劝服律师不重办啊。

发帖数: 2760 | 22 升职不需要重新办perm , 只要你的工作内容没有太大的变化。在学校里面assist
Professor 晋升到associate Professor 是100%不用重新办perm 的。面试的时候别人
只会问你工作内容是否与当初办理perm 的job description 一样。所以一般情况下把
JD 写的尽量general 一点。 |
