1. Required experiences/techniques
o Ph.D. student at last two years
o Wireless communications related classes
o Direct experience on the system design and performance comparison of
FDMA, CDMA systems
o Link-level and system level wireless communication system performance
evaluation
o Pseudorandom noise code design, such as gold code
o Direct experience on evaluating spectrum efficiency of various
modulation schemes, such as various PSK and QAM
o Communication system link budget calculation
o Cognitive radio techniques, such as spectrum sensing, power allocation,
spectrum allocation
o Statistical signal processing
o Matlab programming
2. Experiences/techniques that will be plus
o RF interference modeling
o Channel estimation
o Direct experience of TX/RX implementation on hardware, such as USRP
o Satellite communication
o Satellite telemetry, tracking and commanding
o Antenna design and application
o C or C++ programming
