This is definitely wrong. Public school teachers are no different from collge
professors or post-docs. It belongs to the EB-2 category and is also subject
to the darned "retrogression" when you apply for your permanent residency (
green card). As far as I know, nurses and physical therapists are EB-3 (
correct me if I am wrong).
However, when applying for H1-B, teachers are not subject to the annual cap.

教师资格证还是必要的，除非聘请你的学校说可以一边上班一边申请证书。

there is no quota.
Example: University of XXX provides a teacher development program for new
teachers in xxx district. Being a newly-hired employee, you enrolled in that
program. Then your lawyer can claim that you are exempted from the quota.
But the thing is, your lawyer needs to be knowledgeable in this process. |

I have a full-time job, I got it last August， and I am using my OPT(it
starts from July). The school hired me after the interview, they only asked
me if I am elligble to work and I said yes, and I went to the school
distrcict to finish paper work.
Since the cap for last year already been finished at that time, I did not
bother to check the H1 visa, and I knew from somewhere online that they don'
t offer H1B.
Now, since my OPT only has 6 months left, I am kind of w

district's HR office, tell them my lawyer will take care of the work permit. |
