Hehe, it is most possibly true that you had good intention when you
wrote that post. However, I guess these people are showing slight
resentment to you not because you pointed out that mistake, but
because you used the word "ridiculous". Anyway, this is not a
"ridiculous" mistake. Everybody learning English have made such
a mistake. No one will feel comfortable when accused of making a
"ridiculous mistake". So if you could express your opinion in a
milder way, you wouldn't be "attacked" by them.

Sorry if I have caused any misunderstanding here.
I have already put forth my position that I am an enthusiastic lover
of English instead of a trouble maker.I am sure you are so broad-minded
as not to take that so much to heart.
I used the word "ridiculous" because it is deeply embedded in my memory
and I uttered it without being conscious of the consequence.But even
junior high school students should not make such a mistake.We can only
attain perferction when we take heed of every mistake we m

xixi, this is not a funny place, but a fun place - a place for fun.
your writing is very good, but somehow too formal for a place originally
put in a section called "leisure". my guess is you are still in china.
i used to compose my english articles this way, using way too many idioms,
some of which i never use when speaking english. now i basically write
what i'd say. when i come here, i don't write to somebody. i TALK to
somebody.
this is very true. but nobody is perfect. i always bear
