btw, for me, reading books was really not that helpful. TAMU videos were
enough. However, if you have some time, reading the book would make you feel
more confident and relaxed.

我觉得能拿到美国大学ADMISSION的考FE基本不用准备。
PE就是那两本书，一本MANUAL，考试的时候一定要用的，还有就是练习题。
有时间好好学学其实也不算是浪费时间，就是累点。 |

发帖数: 823 | 5 yes, it's an 8 hour exam. 4 hrs in the AM and 4 hrs in the PM. Quite a
challenge for me because I had not done much exercise for millions of years.
The second day after the exam, i started to feel pain in my neck.

发帖数: 507 | 7 My experience is that, getting 90 and 61 is exactly the same thing for a PE
exam. Which means, you are only asked to get the basics right.
And for Environmental PE exam, morning and afternoon are the same, only
covering different subjects. Which is quite different from FE.
I think the manual and the exercise book is more than enough. If you have a
book you used a lot, take it with you to the exam. If you have a book that
you never read, the chances that you are going to use it in the exam is

发帖数: 823 | 8 The book by Lindburg is considered classic. However, I personally felt it's
a waste of time reading that big chunk of book if you only aim to pass the
test. TAMU videos are easier and more fun for people like me to refresh the
memories.
Get some sample exam questions to practice and be familar with the reference
manual that can be downloaded on the web.

发帖数: 559 | 9 The manual from the test center is most important, which will be handed out
in the exam. If you do not have one, get one copy. make sure you know the
equations in the manual and spend a little time on the appendix, so you know
where to find the equations.
