半个小时seminar（加上Q&A共一个小时），要包括”a brief bio, a summary of your
work, and your vision for the position“，而不是我想象中的介绍博士期间的工
作。他们的广告很泛泛，不知道该如何把这三部分有机的结合起来，尤其是vision不知

If this position is supported by other faculty's grant, then your role is
how to get the work done in time with high quality, how to publish, how to
get the project renewal. How to do team work.
If this is an independent position, then you need to knowhow to get funding
- funding trend in major agencies, current big names'/groups' work, your
own opinions, your future plan to fit in the big picture, etc.

This position is support by an institute within Univerisity, not by
individual faculty. In the job description, it's said that successful
applicant will be expected to attact external funding and may play a major
role in classroom instruction and academic advisement of undergraduate
students. It also mentioned opportunities to interact with stakeholders and
outreach activities. But it is a research assistant professor position, not
regular asisstant professor. I guess I am not sur |
