发帖数: 469 | 1 In summer, since my advisor would go back to China, I have to defense before
his leaving, otherwise I would miss the deadline. I finished defense in
Summer and got his signature. Before I upload my thesis, I send him email
for his opinions on my thesis, He emailed me back "Your thesis still has
room to improve, but if you think it is ok, you can submit it. I am in China
now". He didn't give me any suggestion how to revise it. After this, I made
some changes based on the suggestion or correction from my Comittee member,
and submit my thesis before the deadline.
The trouble was coming then. When I began my work after this, the graduate
office call me and say that I got an "I" for my one course. I have to pass
it, otherwise, I can't get the degree. I found the course "Thesis research"
from my advisor is failed. He told me My graduation has to roll to Fall and I have to revise my theis to an acceptable level before I graduate.
This fall semester, he told me he was busy and let me work on my thesis by
myself first. After I sent him my updated version of my thesis to him and
called him for his help, he said, "stop keep sending me email and calling me
, I am busy unitl November". I went to his office and try to schedul a time
to meet for my thesis. He said he was busy again and won't schedule a time. Until now, I didn;t get any resoponse from him on my thesis. My deadline is coming quite soon, I really don't know how to deal with this, and feel quite stressful.
I am wondering, is there any possible ways to find the solution for this? If
not, Can I appeal this somewhere? | w******t

degree? You may want to go to your next destination/school and then revise
thesis there. Once he sees you are already out of his control, he may not
have interest in controlling you. | l***n

发帖数: 469 | 4 Yes, I am M.S student, and He is AP. Also, I never took any money from my advisor during my study for degree. Actually, I have began to work in another place. Now I am just a part-time student because of this delay, and I have been working on my thesis by myself for one semester. So far, I didn't get any suggestion or comments cocerning my thesis for this semester. I have the plan to appeal to the department chair and dean of school.
