search committee chair写电子邮件催过两次，回答是会和dean's office联系，然后
一直没有回音。前两天又收到另一个的邮件offer,邮件中说会立即办书面材料，想问问
各位，现在回绝第一个学校是不是非常不好？先谢谢各位的意见了。 |

withdraw your application at place A, just need to make sure you get a real
offer (a letter you can sign on) at place B before you turn down A.

们书面材料什么时候可以寄到。

发帖数: 1082 | 6 Depends on what LZ meant by "口头offer" and what LZ meant by "答应". It is
not unusual for strong candidates to negotiate with one school using the
offer letter from the other. My understanding is nothing is official until
you signed the letter and sent it back.

发帖数: 108 | 7 多谢楼上各位的回答，昨天晚上收到学校A的正式书面材料，要我签字后寄回，学校B说
今天用隔天到的快件寄书面材料，同时pdf附件用email发给我。我昨天如实告诉学校B
我口头接受了A，但一直没有看到书面材料，B表示先把材料发给我，我可以看到材料后
再决定接受哪家。现在非常矛盾，因为家庭和其他各种原因想去B,但回绝A实在是很伤
人品啊。
